Nestled along the serene waterfront of Leonardtown, MD, Fitzie's Marina & Pub offers a truly memorable seafood dining experience that blends fresh, mouthwatering cuisine with stunning views and warm, welcoming hospitality. Specializing in classic American seafood fare, this local gem invites guests to savor flavorful dishes that showcase the very best of Maryland’s coastal bounty.
The menu at Fitzie's Marina & Pub is a celebration of seafood done right, with popular dishes that delight the senses and satisfy a range of cravings. Start your meal with the iconic Crab Dip Pizza—a unique appetizer featuring house-made crab dip generously layered atop a crisp pizza crust and crowned with a blend of three cheeses. It’s so rich and indulgent, many guests find it worthy of being a meal on its own. For a comforting Southern touch, the Hush Puppies are a standout—golden, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned, they pair beautifully with any entrée. The Shrimp Basket offers crispy, fried hand-breaded jumbo shrimp that deliver a satisfying crunch with every bite. Don’t miss the Steamed Shrimp if you prefer a lighter, more natural taste of the sea.
For main courses, Fitzie’s boasts specialties that cater to both seafood lovers and surf-and-turf aficionados. Try the Shillelagh, a delightful combination of their famous crab cake, scallops, shrimp, and the chef’s fresh fish selection, offering rich flavors and textures on every forkful. The Shannon’s Delight ups the indulgence with a 12 oz NY Strip Steak served alongside the signature crabcake, perfect for those craving a hearty meal. Meanwhile, dishes like the Leprechaun’s Dream and Donny Brook brilliantly balance shrimp or crabcake with premium steak cuts, providing a well-rounded and deeply satisfying dining choice.
Beyond the exceptional food, the atmosphere at Fitzie’s Marina & Pub is often praised by visitors. The outdoor seating by the water is a highlight, where guests can bask in the gentle breeze and soaking views of the marina while enjoying their meal—a perfect recipe for relaxation and enjoyment. As Lorainne Feola points out, the combination of great service, the best hush puppies in the area, and peaceful waterfront vistas make every lunch feel like a mini getaway. Multiple first-timers have echoed this sentiment, with Wonder Woman calling the environment "absolutely loved" and vowing to return just for the magnificent view and friendly staff.
While the indoor dining space offers a lively pub vibe, it’s ideal to choose the outdoor seating to fully embrace the scenic ambiance and avoid some of the occasional noise challenges described by other patrons. The attentive and knowledgeable staff enhance the experience by offering friendly service without rushing, making each guest feel genuinely valued.
Whether you’re craving classic Maryland crab specialties, perfectly fried shrimp, or a refreshing Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to complement your meal, Fitzie’s Marina & Pub delivers with authenticity and heart. From the first bite of the crab dip pizza to the last sip of their signature Frozen Orange Crush, this waterfront restaurant invites you to slow down, savor the flavors, and soak up unforgettable moments beside the water.
For an authentic seafood experience steeped in local charm and spectacular marina views, Fitzie’s Marina & Pub is a destination that beckons both locals and visitors alike to return time and again.
Beautiful view, great service and comfortable outdoor seating combined with terrific food make this an easy choice to eat at.
Our first time visiting and it will not be our last! Absolutely loved this environment and staff! We sat outside and the view was magnificent! The view alone makes me want to go back! Staff was so welcoming, kind, informative and just friendly. The food was good. We had appetizers and meals. We all enjoyed our food. I must rave about the crab dip pizza appetizer. It could have been a meal all by itself and it was delicious. The hush puppies with honey was outstanding and plentiful. Looking forward to my next visit.
Really nice views of the water. Seafood was pretty good, service was pretty good as well. Had salad with crab, pound of steamed shrimp, and blackened salmon. I will say there's a lot of flies in the dining room which makes it challenging to eat while constantly waving your hands to keep the bugs off your order. I think it would help if there weren't large gaps in the window between the air conditioners. Nonetheless, I would probably eat outside rather than inside next time. I would have probably enjoyed it more if I ate outside.
Lesson learned - eat outside by the water! We probably would have given a 5 star for Atmosphere. We ate inside on the bar side and it was SO loud! It was late in the afternoon on a Sunday, so one would think it shouldn't have been so loud, but the arrangement of the room and a couple of apparently drunk men made for an uncomfortable experience. We had avoided outside because it was so hot with storms coming in. The staff were generally fine and the food was pretty good. Hush puppies were our favorite, really! Steamed shrimp were big and good. I'll add photos later. The waterfront setting on Breton Bay is really nice though and people were coming in from their boats.
We were visiting from out of town and stopped in for lunch. We were seated by the water. The service was great, the food was delicious (best hush puppies EVER), and the water views made it a perfectly enjoyable meal!
GREAT ALL THE WAY AROUND. In life we expect little things to go wrong, we adjust and keep moving. No one or place is perfect. I like Fitzies restaurant.
Delicious crab pizza and crab balls! Fresh squeezed orange crush. Great scenery. Only a 20min boat ride across the river from Va. friendly service and lovely white sands beach dining. I’ll be back to Fitzies.
